About me

Hi! I am Michael Kilb, health psychologist and behavioral scientist at the Department of Nutritional Behavior of the Max Rubner-Institut (Germany), where I currently research food-based dietary guidelines for and the food environment of children and adolescents.

I am also external lecturer and associated researcher at the Division of Health Psychology of the University of Mannheim and member of the Executive Committee of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS).

My research interests focus on psychosocial influences on eating and nutritional behavior, health behavior change and maintenance, digital health (particularly health apps and social media), and the behavioral treatment and prevention of obesity.

I am also a health and science communication enthusiast and write about topics in the field of Health Psychology, such as health behavior change and the development of health-promoting habits, on my blog H4bits and other blogs such as In-Mind.
